Paperwork... « Thread Started on Aug 23, 2007, 9:52pm »
"The one thing I hate about this job is all this paperwork..."
Amy muttered, looking from the boy with a broken arm, to the girl who burnt herself with her powers, two stacks of paper beside her on a table, awaiting fill-outs. These two kids were lucky enough to still have family that she promised to keep up-to-date. Although she was starting to regret her promise.
"Well you two, you'd best be getting better. I don't need you two getting in any more trouble and me getting yelled at."
Henry walked into the infirmary with a big smile on his face. He walked into the door and looked at the two students and Amy. His smile was one Amy would have seen often, she would know that it meant he knew something that would mean helping another Gifted person.
"Hello." He said nodding to the two kids and then looking to Amy. "I have some important news." He said, his tone turning serious. He looked back at the kids and smiled again. "Please come and see me when you're finished here." he said with a meaningful look.
Amy let out, turning from the two wounded, her arm raising, her fist closed in a now white-frozen punch, around a dozen ice spines spiking through her hand, causing red lines around each base. It lowered once Amy realised who was there, a sheepish look and a small blush on her face.
"Oh, sorry. You startled me..."
Amy knew that look well enough, but she needed to soothe these kids first. She ran a spine over their wounds, freezing the burns, to soothe them.
"Now rest you two, so that you can heal yourselves up."
She whispered to them both, before standing up, going over to the Headmaster, the Spines receding, although the little rim-wounds did not, turning into what looked like scars. A slight curse with her powers, but she dealt with it.
Henry stepped back from the defensive notion of his deputy and then chuckled as she calmed down and apologised. he shook his head and waved his hand dismissively and watched as she tended to the students.
He watched as her powers receded and sighed, shaking his head in amazement, the gifted people never ceased to amaze him with powers, and for a few moments he was distracted. He blinked and looked up as she approached him and then smiled.
"I've found someone who will make this section of the school a lot easier." He said happily. He looked at the students and then leaned closer to her. "We've discovered a healer." He said in a hushed voice.
