Night smiled and shrugged. It was a little more active than her brother's power... Ok, a lot more active, and unlike her, Dayle couldn't control when his power struck him.
"I've been here a long time." She said, her voice dropped to a quieter tone and she looked into the water with a small smile. Even before she'd gotten here she'd had a good hold on her ability, but, she'd never known the extent of it until she had arrived here.
"So, what is your gift?" She asked again.

Adriaan smiled when she said she had been here a long time. Like Nikolaas then. He breathed out as she asked about his power again, he guessed by her showing her power he owned her to tell her of his. Could he tell her that his powers were to hurt people? No... she seemed like a really nice girl and he did enjoy talking to her "Uh... I've been told Telekinesis and Telepathy are my powers" he told her "I don't like to use my powers though"

Night frowned at his reluctance, but said nothing about it. She waited patiently to hear what his powers were and smiled as her eyes widened.
"Wow." She said quietly as he told her he had telekinesis and telepathy, she frowned slightly, on second thoughts, the telepathy wasn't so great around her. She blinked from her thoughts and looked at him curiously as he said he didn't like to use his powers.
"Why not?" She asked, she had a gently curiosity to her voice, and her head was tilted as she looked at him.

Adriaan looked down at his hands, he didn't need these to use his power. It was all in his mind like the knowledge he had. He shook his head and looked up at her, what would she do if he told her what he did? He had told Nikolaas but not Christiaan. Christiaan was harder to talk to then Nikolaas, much harder. He swallowed, he wanted to tell her, he wanted someone to know other then his brother and the Headmaster. He looked into her eyes, he felt he could trust her or something after just this "I put my mother into a coma..." he muttered.

Night could see his was thinking about whether to answer her a lot, and that was ok, she knew a few people had accidents with their powers when they first discovered them. She'd met one person who'd accidentally blown up their own house!
However, when he looked into her eyes, she didn't expect the answer he'd given her. Her lips parted slightly and she tilted her head.
"I'm sorry." She said quietly, that must have been so terrible for him. She could see now why he was so... hesitant to use his powers and talk about things.

Adriaan shook his head “Don’t be” he told her then sighing, he could feel the pain of his mother in his head sometimes, he had nightmares about it. It had been an accident and he had told his father that but his father wouldn’t hear of it and Adriaan was treated just like his brothers had been. Thrown out into the cold though their staying at the Uni was well paid for. For many years. Adriaan could only guess that was something their parents had decided for them. After all, who could just disown their children and feel nothing for them? No one, it wasn’t human.
“And that’s just why I dislike using my powers, they’ve never done good, only bad” he said, he spilled a little more emotion into those words and it had been accidental then.

Night just nodded slowly and looked down. She didn't quite know what to say, a lot of kids at the uni had arrived here after accidents, or deaths, and well, gross tragedies, her and Dayle were no exception, but, it never made it easier.
She could understand why he disliked his powers. She wanted to know how long ago that had happened, but she didn't dare to ask. She could hear the emotion in his voice.
She licked her lips and put a hand on his shoulder. She also wanted to ask how his mother was, had she come out of the coma? But she really didn't want upset him more.

Adriaan looked down when he felt Night's hand on his shoulder, he gently smiled and then looked to her "But it's alright now" he said "I have my brothers..." he said, he was happy he was here with them. Nikolaas had always meant the world to Adriaan. He looked back to her hand and slowly and gently placed his hand on hers. He felt there was light blush in his cheeks and he really hoped she didn't mind. He took her hand off his shoulder and looked at her.

Night smiled a little more as he looked at her and said it was alright, that he had his brothers. She thought about Dayle and her smile grew even more. She nodded and then saw his hand on hers. She felt a little awkward, but waited until his hand left her's before she pulled her hand back and put it in her lap.
"Brothers are really something aren't they?" She asked quietly.

Night smiled and looked at her hands in her lap now. "I have one." She said, her voice sounded as if it was whispering through the treetops with the wind, soothing, relaxing.
Dayle was the only thing she had left, the only thing she had at all, besides the trinkets she'd taken from the house. "He's the best." She smiled peacefully.

Adriaan smiled at her smile. He must have meant a lot of her. Nik meant a lot to him. Without Nik Adriaan would have feared his powers even more. But his brother helped him "You two must be really close if he makes you smile like that" he said gently.

Night blushed a little and looked down, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. "Yea, well, all we've got is each other. You tend to get pretty close that way." She laughed a little nervously.
"So, tell me about your brothers..." She said turning and looking from her hands in her lap to Adriaan.

Adriaan nodded and then laughed under his breath a little "Um... what to say?" he asked then thinking for a moment "I'm more close to Nik then Chris due to the fact Nik as always been there for me. Chris as too and is but Nik is just a little more mature" he smiled "You've most likely seen them around"
